Behind-the-Scenes Footage Shows Firefighters Attempting to Save Homes in Lake Almanor

The Dixie Fire continues it historic run through Plumas and Lassen counties, destroying homes and leaving thousands evacuated. In the communities surrounding Lake Almanor, firefighters have worked tirelessly to attempt to keep the fire away from homes and personal property. A behind-the-scenes video shows the carnage in the area as they continue to battle the flames.

A Youtube video (above) shows the firefighters battling the flames on homes and moving personal items away from the fire, a dire attempt to save as much as they can. Unfortunately, homes were burned in the fire.

Lake Almanor West was once again tested today by the Dixie Fire. Two homes were completely destroyed by fire and can be seen still burning,. A garage caught on fire and was threatening the home with flames, firefighters used a bulldozed to tear down the garage while on fire to save the existing home. Shots of the garage burning, fire fighters using bulldozer to tear down garage and the home it saved.
