BREAKING: It’s Snowing in Tahoe!

Whispers of a light snow dusting began to rumble in the Tahoe area early this week and sure enough, we are seeing what we hope to be a normal occurrence for the remainder of 2019.

Road cameras show that some snow not only came down on the higher-elevation portions of I-80 Tuesday night, but that there’s also some action down near the lake, with some light snow currently hitting Squaw Valley in North Lake and Myers in South Lake:

The snow fell throughout Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, and it’s expected to continue until midday at higher elevations. Here are some of the sights and scenes from the small storm:

Obviously, this is a small weather event for Tahoe, which saw record snowfall throughout the winter of 2019, but it’s a great sign that winter has arrived in NorCal. The best part? Early forecasts show that there could be more coming next week.
