Come Face-to-Face with a Giant Whale with this Northern California Kayak Tour

During the months of March, April and May in Northern California, the coastline is full of thousands of grey whales migrating from Baja to Trinidad. These whales can be seen all the way down the California coast, but for our money, the best place to see them is off the coast of Humboldt County.

A North Coast kayak tour company called Kayak Trinidad is one of the best ways to get face-to-face with one of the big, beautiful creatures. Kayak Trinidad specializes in marine wildlife tours, with the spring months being great for whale watchers.

Trinidad Bay is a preferred resting area for these whales during migration and the experienced tour guides at Kayak Trinidad have found the whale’s preferred resting spots and travel lanes. The tours go for $109 per person, which includes all of the gear (kayak, wetsuit, etc.), basic paddling instructions and safety information.
