Mt. Shasta Ski Park Opens its Summer Activities – Mountain Biking, Hiking and Disc Golf

The activities are available on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 4 pm all summer long.

Mt. Shasta Ski Park has opened its summer activities to the public, giving visitors the ability to ride the mountain biking course, take the scenic chairlift and hike around the mountain, or play a high elevation disc golf course.The activities are available on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 4 pm all summer long.

Following last year’s successful inaugural summer season for the new ownership on the mountain, management has doubled down on its summer months following a tough winter season.

Mountain Biking

The mountain biking community has applauded the newest features on the Mt. Shasta Ski Park mountain biking course. Numerous features, both professional and amateur, were added throughout the park this spring.

For the mountain biking trails, it will cost $32 for an adult lift ticket ($16 for youth) or you can buy a season pass for $130. The photos show you just how much effort has been put into the park:

When they officially opened the park for their Vortex Enduro Race, the professionals show everyone the capability of the terrain:




Scenic Chairlift Ride

The scenic chairlift ride enables visitors from all ages to take a ride up to the top of the Douglas lift and hike around the mountain at 6,000 feet. The cost to take the lift up is $20.




Disc Golf

The mountains’ newest activity offers visitors to play one of the most scenic 18-hole disk gold courses Northern California has to offer. Playing the course is free and it will cost you $20 to take the lift up to start on the first hole. And how can you beat these views?
