Mt. Shasta Ski Park Sets Opening Date with Hopes of More Snowfall

Mt. Shasta Ski Park has enjoyed the early season snow accumulating throughout the mountains of Northern California this month. But with any season praying for snow, the ski resort is going to need see more to meet their announced opening date.

Mt. Shasta has set a December 15 open date for the ski park with enhanced Covid-19 protocols. New social-distanced operations will include no indoor dining options, masks will be required while in the main areas of the lift and lodge and there will be no singles line.

While the park remains hopeful of a great winter on the mountain, they will need a lot more snow to open. Although the park received some decent snowfall during the month of November, the webcam on November 23 shows a bare scene, with the forecast showing very little precipitation over the next 10 days:

Let’s keep snow dancing and hope for another great season on Mt. Shasta Ski Park! For information on passes this season, go here.
