Redding’s Famed Eagles Welcome New Hatch to their Turtle Bay Nest

The famed Redding eagles have welcomed a new hatch into their Turtle Bay nest along the Sacramento River.

Liberty and Guardian have been well-known residents of Redding, as they together enjoy a nest off Highway 44 along the Sacramento River. Now, they welcomed another member of the family at 5:45 pm on Sunday as local eagle enthusiasts, who share the activities of the eagles on the Friends of Redding Eagles Facebook page, watched the hatch on a live stream.

The live stream of the nest has provided an up-close look at the hatching process for the eagles. With the first eaglet welcomed into the world, onlookers have been glued to the live video in anticipation for another eaglet about to hatch. Who knows? We may see another hatching today.
