The Legendary Boonville Beer Festival is Returning to Northern California in 2022

When Kevin McGee, owner of the Anderson Valley Brewing Co., was on the Talking NorCal podcast in June of 2020, he was optimistic that they would be able to host the Legendary Boonville Beer Festival in 2021. Little Did he know, the Covid pandemic would last much longer than anticipated and they decided to scrap the event for the year. With much of the Covid restrictions being lifted, the event is returning to the region for the first time in three years.

This year’s Boonville Beer Festival has been scheduled for April 23, 2022.

Boonville’s population sits at just over 1,000 people, but over 6,000 craft beer enthusiasts converge on the town for 24 hours to celebrate Northern California’s finest ales. Camping is held on site at the massive fairgrounds. The theme for this year’s event is Mardi Gras.

The event is not only a fun experience for Northern California (and beyond), it’s also a great spectacle for the small town of Boonville, California (known to have its own language) and a economic driver for businesses and non-profits, raising more than $300,000 for charities in 2017 and 2018 alone.
