The Roads Are Treacherous Throughout Northern California Right Now

With a rare blizzard currently blasting Northern California with heavy snowfall, the road conditions throughout the mountains are treacherous. For the roads that have remained open (there’s not a ton) chain controls are prevalent and travel through the mountains is extremely dangerous.

By taking a quick look at the CalTrans Quickmap, we can see just how crazy the roads are as of Tuesday morning:
