This Timelapse of Tahoe in December is INSANE to Watch

It’s been one heck of a snowy month in Tahoe – the snowiest December ever seen in the region. With many high-mountain areas receiving more than 200 inches, locals are digging themselves out of walls snow on a seemingly a daily basis. The above timelapse shows exactly what it was like to live in Tahoe and experience this snowy month firsthand.

The video posted shows a South Lake Tahoe backyard experience the snowy month in just 3 minutes. Watch as the snow goes up and down throughout the month, before growing at an astounding rate at the end (white Christmas). You can especially see how just how much snow there is with an image of the beginning and end.

Thank goodness for this wonderfully snowy year so far in the Sierra!
