The winter is approaching in the mountains of Northern California, and ski resorts are prepping by hiring lift attendants, cleaning any obstacles that may have arose during the summer and, of course, making snow. Although the recent months have seen dry weather, snowmaking has allowed some mountains to open early (Mammoth Mountain and Nevada’s Mt. Rose).
The upcoming weather forecast throughout NorCal remains mostly dry, but that won’t stop some ski resorts from opening their lifts and hoping to see some snowy days in the near future. Here are all the opening days for ski resorts in NorCal:
