Winter Weather Advisory: Another Foot of Snow Forecast for NorCal Mountains

Following a series of storms that brought historic rain to the Northern California valley and nearly two feet of snow to the Sierra Nevada, a new storm is descending on NorCal with another foot of snow in the forecast.

The National Weather Service has issued another Winter Weather Advisory for Monday night through Tuesday evening that could see up to a foot of snow on NorCal mountains:

The Tahoe mountains will see more May snow, but it’s Lassen Volcanic National Park that could see a foot of snow during the 24-hour storm.

This is the third storm to hit NorCal in the past five days. Tahoe ski resorts have seen a snow resurgence with nearly 2-feet of snow since May 15, with some rare mid-May powder days for the few resorts that are still open.

With the new snow, Squaw Valley has surpassed 700 inches on the season:

The craziest part of all of this? This is not the final storm of the month. More rain and snowfall is set to hit later this week:

Here’s to the never ending winter of 2019!
