It was an interesting sight when someone found a high-end prosthetic leg in the Cloverdale lumber yard in Sonoma County on Monday. Where could it possibly have come from?

The leg was turned into the Sonoma County Sheriff, who did some investigating to find the owner.

“The Cloverdale Airport is right next to the lumber yard where the prosthetic leg was found,” Sonoma Sheriff’s Sgt. Spencer Crum told KRON4. “The deputy came by here, asking if anyone knows how this leg may have landed in the lumber yard.”

After talking to the skydivers at the next door airport, it turned out the leg fell from 10,000 feet above.

Sheriff’s deputies found out the leg had been lost by skydiver Dion Calloway and were able to return the leg, worth around $15,000, to the thankful skydiver. Calloway joked “that this was his second leg lost while skydiving.”

It was a happy ending on an otherwise mysterious situation.
