Active NorCal is the premiere online destination for stories about Northern California outdoor content including sports, destinations, news, activities and history. NorCal is the greatest place on the planet and it is our mission to highlight its magnificent beauty through long form destination stories and short form news stories.

Active NorCal was founded in 2013 with the goal of telling the stories of Northern California. From 2014 to 2016, we were a print magazine, covering the areas from Chico to Yreka. In 2016, we chose to concentrate on a much larger audience by going completely digital, allowing us to create more content on a daily basis.

Today, we are dedicated to bringing you a great online resource for all things Northern California through our website, www.activenorcal.com, our social media pages including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest, as well as our weekly email newsletter, the NorCal Beat.
