Dad Finds Note on His Windshield After Yosemite Camping Trip

A Sacramento dad was left smiling after finding a heartfelt note on his windshield during a family camping trip to Yosemite National Park.
Jerardo Reynoso, 36, was celebrating his 21st wedding anniversary with his wife, Lucia, and their four children when an anonymous camper praised him for “killing it as a dad.”
The note, left by a fellow camper in a nearby site, described Reynoso’s family setup in detail — from smoothly backing in their trailer to sharing stories and laughter around the campfire. “From one dad to another,” the message read, “you are killing it. Keep it up. P.S. Whatever you cooked for dinner smelled delicious!”
Reynoso later shared the note online, saying camping has been part of his family’s life since he and Lucia first started dating. He hopes his kids will carry on the tradition as they grow older.

The post quickly went viral, with many Reddit users chiming in to share their appreciation. “If one dude wrote a note, you KNOW he wasn’t the only one who saw,” one commenter wrote. Another added, “Dads need to support each other.”
While Yosemite is known for its breathtaking granite cliffs, waterfalls, and wildlife, this story shows that sometimes the park’s most meaningful moments come from simple acts of kindness between strangers under the pines.
