Humpback Whale Tangled in Fishing Net Washes Ashore on Humboldt Beach
Humboldt residents were surprised when they came across a humpback whale washed ashore on Wednesday. The whale was tangled in fishing net and Humboldt State experts rushed to the scene to disentangle the helpless whale in hopes of getting it back into the water.
The experts were able to get the fishing net disentangles from the whale, but were waiting for the incoming tide in hopes of getting the massive ocean dweller off the beach, but high tide doesn’t come until 8 pm.
