Justin Bieber Visits Tahoe’s Newly Opened East Shore Trail
Tahoe’s “magical” East Shore Trail opened to much fanfare in June and now it’s getting a high-profile visit from one of the planet’s most famous people.
Singer Justin Bieber posted photos on his Instagram account Monday showing photos of the trail and the crystal-clear water of Lake Tahoe to his 121 million followers:
Although he didn’t provide the location or date of his Tahoe trip, the photos clearly show the East Shore Trail, which has been a welcomed trail to the east shore of the lake since it opened.
The 10-foot wide, 3-miles-long trail is available to non-motorized bicycles and pedestrians, and consists of six bridges and sees a gradual 150-foot rise in elevation. The $41 million project, with money raised exclusively by the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency through 550 donors, also includes ninety-one new parking spots.
The East Shore Trail is just 3 miles of what is expected to be a trail that fully loops around the 70-mile shoreline of Lake Tahoe. 33 miles of the loop has been constructed, with 37 more to go.
