One of the Sierra Nevada’s biggest Earth Day gatherings is back this weekend, and it’s free to attend.

Tahoe Truckee Earth Day returns to The Village at Palisades Tahoe on Saturday, April 25, running from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Hosted by the Tahoe Earth Day Foundation, the annual event draws nonprofits, eco-conscious vendors, and community members together for a full afternoon focused on environmental education and sustainable living.

Attendees can browse interactive booths covering everything from composting and recycling to renewable energy and green consumer products. Local organizations will be on hand to share resources and connect visitors with ways to lower their environmental footprint in everyday life.

This year’s event also marks a milestone for Sierra Watershed Education Partnerships (SWEP), which is celebrating 30 years of connecting students to local environmental issues. Raffle tickets will be available throughout the day, with all proceeds benefiting SWEP’s education programs.

The entertainment schedule is packed. Carnival Dogs kick off live music from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., followed by the crowd-favorite Envirolution Trashion Show at 2:15 p.m. Dust in My Coffee closes out the afternoon with a set from 3:30 to 5 p.m. The SWEP raffle drawing takes place at 3:15 p.m.

Admission is free and the event is open to all ages.
