Anglers Are Catching HUGE Rainbow Trout on the Sacramento River in Redding
With the opening of fishing season coming to Northern California’s Sacramento River, the annual angler pilgrimage to Redding’s “Lunker Lane” is yielding fantastic results.
With much of the river in Redding closed for four months a year to protect salmon runs, the lack of fishing pressure during the spring has made the late summer a fisherman’s paradise and this year’s no different. Fishing guides on the Sacramento River are reporting excellent conditions and huge rainbow trout being caught throughout the urban fishery.

It’s no surprise that fishing is once again crushing it through Redding on the Lower Sac. It’s one of the best fisheries in the United States and the reason why Redding has become a fishing destination for people from all over the world.
