Bigfoot Jamboree Stomps Back Into Northern California This Labor Day Weekend

The legendary Bigfoot Jamboree returns to Happy Camp this weekend, celebrating its 58th year with three days of music, food, family activities, and of course, a touch of Sasquatch spirit. The festival runs Friday through Sunday at Happy Camp River Park and features events for all ages.

Festivities begin Friday evening with Indian Tacos, Bigfoot’s Cash Cube, and a lively dance featuring Papa Dom. On Saturday, families can enjoy Kids Day at the Park with inflatable slides, a rock wall, and bungee jumpers, followed by Bigfoot’s Prize Bingo, a Penny Scramble for the kids, and a performance by Rush Athletics. The evening highlights include the Bigfoot Queen Coronation and Raffle Drawing, a community BBQ, and a dance with The Roadsters.

Sunday starts with a pancake breakfast before the Bigfoot Sunday Parade, themed “The Greatest Show on Earth” and led by Grand Marshal Dorcas Harrison (in memoriam). The day continues with parade awards, more bingo, the 16th Annual Ducky Derby, and closes with Sunday Night Music in the Park featuring the Frankie Hernandez Band.

The Bigfoot Jamboree has long been a cornerstone of Happy Camp’s identity, blending small-town charm with festive tradition. Whether you’re there for the dances, the parade, or a chance to win cash prizes, this year’s event promises to be a highlight of Northern California’s holiday weekend.
