Golf Course with Gorgeous Mount Shasta Views Hits the Market for $3.8 Million

Golf enthusiasts take note: the picturesque Lake Shastina Golf Resort in Siskiyou County is now on the market for $3.8 million.

Nestled amid the breathtaking landscapes of Northern California and offering stunning views of Mount Shasta, this expansive property spans 270 acres and comes with a wealth of amenities.

The resort features an 18-hole, par 72 championship course designed by the renowned Robert Trent Jones and a unique 9-hole Scottish links-style course. These meticulously crafted courses are complemented by an 8,000-square-foot clubhouse that houses a pro shop and a restaurant, perfect for winding down after a day on the greens.

Additionally, the property includes a 6,600-square-foot cart barn, 85 recently purchased Yamaha golf carts, and 15 condominiums, providing ample accommodation and storage solutions.

With more than 220 active members, the turnkey operation is well-established in the golfing community. The listing agents, Brian White and Doren Morgan of California Outdoor Properties, highlight the resort’s exceptional features: “The firm and fast greens have long been touted as some of the finest in Northern California, while the tee boxes offer some of the finest golf vistas you will find anywhere. The wide but challenging fairways are equally well kept by the seasoned golf course staff.”

Located just off Highway 5 near Weed, Lake Shastina Golf Resort is conveniently positioned one hour north of Redding and four hours north of Sacramento, making it easily accessible for visitors and members.

Bill Duchi, the resort’s owner for the past 25 years, expressed a bittersweet sentiment about the sale in a promotional video. “Right now, we’re looking for somebody to take our place,” Duchi said. “We owned the place for 25 years and enjoyed every minute of it. I put it up for sale because I’m just looking to play golf instead of manage golf.”
