Here Are All the Closing Dates for Tahoe Ski Resorts

Spring skiing enthusiasts in the Lake Tahoe region have much to look forward to, from sunny days to corn snow and thrilling pond skims. However, with the arrival of spring comes the inevitable end of the ski season.

This year proved to be a beautiful winter in Tahoe, with late season storms extending the powder days well into April. It was a great improvement from a bleak start to the season. Alas, everything must come to an end, and for some ski resorts the season is already over. For others, you still have six weeks left to ride.

Here are the closing dates for ski areas across Lake Tahoe:

  • Tahoe Donner: Closed on Sunday, April 7
  • Donner Ski Ranch: TBD
  • Boreal: Closing on Sunday, April 14
  • Soda Springs: Closing on Sunday, April 14
  • Homewood: Closing on Sunday, April 14
  • Northstar: Closing on Sunday, April 14
  • Granlibakken Tahoe – Monday, April 15
  • Bear Valley – Sunday, April 21
  • Heavenly – Sunday, April 21
  • Sierra-at-Tahoe – Sunday, April 21
  • Diamond Peak – Sunday, April 21
  • Kirkwood – Sunday, April 28
  • Sugar Bowl – Sunday, April 28
  • Mt. Rose – Sunday, April 28
  • Palisades Tahoe – Monday, May 27

It’s essential for skiers to double-check each resort’s operation schedule, as closing dates can be subject to change based on conditions. Some resorts may transition to weekend-only operations with limited terrain and lifts available.
