Jaws of Life Used to Rescue Deer Stuck in Lodi Fence
Firefighters arrived at a scene in Lodi on Thursday where they discovered a desperate deer stuck in a fence.
The helpless animal was thrashing around trying to escape. In order to limit the animal’s chances of injuring itself, firefighters used the jaws of life to set it free.
The Lodi Fire Department took to social media to show the desperate animal stuck in a predicament… and a fence:
After the bars of the fence were widened and animal was freed, it ran off into the wilderness along the Mokelumne River.
Lodi resident Rhonda Perry Parker, the person who found the helpless animal and phoned 9-1-1, caught the incident on camera and sent it over to CBS Sacramento:
Run free, young deer! Run free!
