Man Steals a Sailboat on the Sacramento River, Immediately Gets it Lodged Under the Tower Bridge
A man is facing criminal charges after stealing a sailboat near West Sacramento on the Sacramento River on Monday night. It wasn’t difficult for law enforcement to catch the perpetrator after he immediately got the boat lodged underneath Sacramento’s Tower Bridge.
According to law enforcement, the man who stole the boat was stalled after getting lodged under the bridge and tried to jump ship and swim away. With the powerful current of the cold river in full effect, the man had to grab onto one of the pillars and wait for law enforcement to save him.

Needless to say, it was far from the perfect crime. The boat was eventually dislodged from the bridge using jet skis. The suspect was arrested on the spot, although law enforcement has yet to release his name.
