New Summer Bus Routes Make Getting to Yosemite Easier Than Ever

Planning a trip to Yosemite this summer? Getting there just got easier.

Yosemite Area Regional Transportation System (YARTS) is launching its expanded summer bus service starting May 23, with routes running from multiple locations into the park. Service from Mammoth Lakes will begin on July 1.

With round-trip fares starting at $40 from Fresno and $44 from Merced, YARTS offers a cost-effective, stress-free way to reach Yosemite without the hassle of traffic or parking. Better yet, riders on YARTS buses do not need a day-use reservation to enter the park.

Discounts are available: seniors, disabled passengers, veterans, and kids aged 6 to 17 receive 50% off. Children under 5 ride free, and children 6 to 12 ride free when accompanied by a full-fare paying adult.

Routes include:

  • Fresno ? Oakhurst ? Yosemite
  • Merced ? Mariposa ? Yosemite
  • Sonora ? Yosemite
  • Mammoth Lakes ? Yosemite (starts July 1)

Advance booking is strongly encouraged, as walk-on seats are limited.

For a convenient and scenic ride into one of California’s most iconic destinations, YARTS may be your best bet this summer.
