OctoBURIED! See the Best Photos from the Rare Fall Storm in Tahoe

Tahoe is officially OctoBURIED! The rare October storm brought multiple feet of snow to Tahoe, turning the mountains into a white winter wonderland. While the snowfall numbers are still coming in, early reports show the mountains received up to 5 feet of snow, a very rare occurrence for a single storm in October.

The snowfall was certainly a welcomed sight in the region. Nearby wildfires were completely extinguished and rain and snow quickly replenished the nearby waterways which were in dire need due to the drought. Although there were certainly some issues with a storm of this magnitude, it was overall a positive weather event for NorCal.

Tahoe social media went crazy on Monday, showing the stunning photos of the area blanketed in snow. Here are the best from the day:

Let’s hope we get a lot more snow this coming winter!
