As the temperatures increase dramatically, the National Weather Service is asking residents to brush up on their heat safety tips, including staying hydrated and avoiding arduous activity outdoors.

Remember that the blacktop will heat up considerably, so don’t go outside without shoes and make sure to consider your animals’ feet while going outdoors.

Many towns are expected to approach 100 degrees, while not surprisingly, Redding leads the way with a 100 degree forecast for Saturday and Sunday.
