Sunken Car Discovered in the Sacramento River in Redding

A group of people fishing the Sacramento River in Redding made an unusual discovery when they floated over what appeared to be a completely submerged car in the river.

Photos of the car were posted to the Facebook group “Redding stolen cars”, with some people providing insight into the sunken vehicle:

The post went viral, with over 4,000 shares in four days. While some of the comments provided some insight into the sunken vehicle, none of them could be substantiated.

“We reported it when we floated down river they said they knew about it but was to submerged to get out,” commented Lori Short.

Although the cost to remove the car would probably be high, it would be nice to get such an eyesore out of the water…
