It’s no question that the most confident, assertive and enthusiastic of the zodiac signs had to be represented by the mighty Mount Shasta. Sitting 14,179 feet above the valley floor below, this active volcano makes its presence felt throughout Northern California – a loud and boisterous landmark.

The magnetic personality of the Aries can be seen in Mount Shasta, which sees visitors from all over the world to experience the power of the might mountain. When it comes to the most enthusiastic of zodiac signs, there’s no better match than Mount Shasta.

Taurus – Redwood National Park

The redwood trees of Northern California have stood tall and reliable for thousands of years. Just like the Taurus of the world, they stand patient as they grow hundreds of feet tall and ambitiously become one of the most reliable fixtures of NorCal.

The redwood trees are reliable yet stubborn, and their combined growth creates the Redwood Curtain, only allowing ambitious visitors to gaze upon its beauty. Taureans are sometimes over-enthusiastic and inflexible when it comes to certain endeavors, just like the tallest trees on the planet in the Redwood National Park.

When it comes to a reliable landmark in NorCal, there’s none more reliable than the trees of the redwood forest, whose traits mirror those of the Taurus.

Gemini – Burney Falls

The twins in the Gemini symbol perfectly represent the two massive streams of water that fall over a 130-foot cliff at the Eighth Wonder of the World – Burney Falls. Gemini’s popularity and talkative nature are just like that of Burney Falls, whose water loudly speaks to you throughout your visit.

Gemini’s are known to be popular, and their might not be a more popular singular destination in NorCal than Burney Falls. It was lauded by Teddy Roosevelt and has been an important place for humans ever since the Native Americans deemed it a sacred site. And while Gemini’s can adapt themselves to the mood around them, Burney Falls can give you an entirely different experience depending on the water flow and how you want to perceive its majesty.

Visiting the massive lake in the heart of the Sierra Nevada is an intimate experience, a glaring trait of any Cancer and what makes them so loving. The love surrounding Lake Tahoe is palpable, much like that of the Cancerians.

The element of Cancer is water, and Lake Tahoe has a whole bunch of it. The lake sits as the second deepest and sixth largest by volume in the United States. The water of the the lake is all anybody needs for creative inspiration, which Cancers are known to have in spades.

If the Cancer is a reserved, creative and romantic person, Lake Tahoe is their reasonable match.

Leos are known as born leaders and in an area dominated volcanic activity, Lassen Peak is king. We all know that Leos become the center of attention everywhere they go and if you’re anywhere in the vicinity of Northern California’s most active volcano, you’re bound to divert your attention in its direction.

In the same regard, Leos are known to be attention seekers, much like when Lassen Peak erupted in 1914 and sent volcanic ash and gas some 30,000 feet above the mountain, which was visible from 150 miles away. During the three year eruption, all eyes in NorCal were on the active volcano.

Today, Lassen Peak sits as one of the most popular and beautiful destinations in NorCal, mirroring the cheerful, enthusiastic and friendly demeanor of the Leo.

Virgo – Yosemite Falls

Virgos are known to be extremely organized and meticulous, much like the three sections of Yosemite Falls that make up the tallest waterfall in North America. From Upper to Middle to Lower Yosemite Falls, there is a meticulous structure that pushes massive amounts of water through the Yosemite Valley.

Without meticulous organization, the 2,425 foot waterfall from the top to the bottom could instead be a series of streams and rivers. But Yosemite Falls cleanly moves the water down thousands of feet of rock, using its organization to create one of the world’s great outdoor destinations.

With Virgo’s element being earth, there’s no better example of the beauty and power of earth than Yosemite Falls, making these two a perfect pari.

There may be no more peaceful experience as visiting the Point Reyes National Seashore, a land of beautiful beaches, lavish marine wildlife and incredible views of the earth. That’s why it’s a perfect match for a Libra, who is known as a lavish, peaceful and emotionally aware sign.

Libras are also very creative, which is similar to nature’s creativity when meticulously sculpting the wind-formed trees and shoreline that surrounds the seashore. Their easy-going nature meets that of the sprawling meadows and ocean sounds that surround the area, one of the most peaceful in Northern California.

With the easy-going nature of the Libra, they are perfectly at match with Point Reyes National Seashore.

Scorpio – Fern Canyon

Scorpios are famously emotionally-charged and ambitious people, matching them perfectly with the 50-foot walls covered in ferns at Humboldt’s Fern Canyon.

The emotional and powerful feelings you have walking through Fern Canyon in the Redwood National Forest is exactly what Scorpios feel on a daily basis. Only pure ambition can be attributed to the beauty of nature at Fern Canyon, and its popularity in the area is similar to that of a Scorpios sense of self pride.

With Scorpios holding onto their prevalent trait of intuitive emotions, they are just like that of the ambitious Fern Canyon.

Sagittarius is positive, honest and versatile sign, and there’s no destination quite as versatile as the three tiers of McCloud Falls.

Always craving a positive outlook and seeking change, the life of a Sagittarius mirrors the experience of visiting Lower, Middle and Upper McCloud Falls, all of which provide a unique experience and are fun and beautiful in their own right. Whether your swimming in the summer or snowshoeing in the winter, there are so many different experiences you can have at McCloud Falls, which is just what Sagittarians are looking for in life.

Capricorns are extremely goal-oriented and focused, much like the natural process over thousands of years to create the magnificent Half Dome rock in Yosemite National Park. With a business-like approach to the world, Half Dome has become a meticulous and beautiful testament to nature, much like the work done by a typical Capricorn.

One bad characteristic of the Capricorn is its stubborn behavior, which is just like the nearly impossible ascent of Half Dome. For centuries, humans were unable to hike to the top of Half Dome, slipping on its perfectly formed rock. Today, hikers must use cables to get to the top of the stubborn rock.

Focused and stubborn behavior make Half Dome and Capricorns a perfect match.
