WATCH: Injured Hiker Rescued by CHP Air Team on Mount Shasta

CHP Northern Division Air Operations successfully conducted a daring rescue mission on Sunday, airlifting an injured hiker from Mount Shasta. The hiker was safely transported to Mercy Medical Center for further medical attention.

The CHP air team swiftly responded to the distress call and skillfully employed a hoist to extract the injured hiker from Avalanche Gulch. Situated at approximately 9,300 feet on the mountain, the location presented challenging conditions for the rescue operation.

Assisting in the mission, the Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office was present at the scene to provide additional support and ensure a coordinated effort. Watch the video above to see the exhilarating rescue.
