Wildfire Forces Immediate Evacuation Order in Truckee

A wildfire began near the Truckee Airport in the early afternoon on Thursday, forcing an evacuation order for the region. Currently, aircraft are fighting the flames from above and there is no more information being released.

The Truckee Police Department took to social media to announce that the TRK-E112 zone in Truckee is currently under a mandatory evacuation order.

“This is the Truckee Police Department issuing an Evacuation ORDER for a Wildfire affecting zones TRK-E112; EVACUATE IMMEDIATELY.”

Here is an image of the zone, which to our knowledge, does not include many residences or buildings:

We will continue to monitor the situation and provide any updates possible on the wildfire.
