Memorial Day Weekend is upon us, which means it’s time to gather with friends and family and enjoy a nice 3-day weekend amidst the beauty of Northern California.

McCloud Mushroom Festival
Held every Memorial Day weekend at the base of Mt. Shasta in the historic lumber town of McCloud, the McCloud Mushroom and Music Festival celebrates the proliferation of wild mushroom hunting that occurs every spring in and around McCloud. Enjoy live music, wine tasting, mushroom vendors, cooking demonstrations, workshops, and more.

Lake Siskiyou Kid’s Fishing Day
The 2019 Lake Siskiyou Kid’s Fishing Day will begin the celebration of what has so far been a successful first year of the Lake Siskiyou trout pens. Kids aged 15-years-old and younger can head to the lake on May 25 to fish following the release of over 1,000 3-5 pound trout into the waters.

The Art of Survival Century
The Art of Survival Century Bike Ride is a 3-day celebration of biking in Tulelake, California during Memorial Day weekend. The event offers a Century (100 mile), Metric Century (62 mile), 45 mile, 20 mile mountain bike route and a 25 mile family friendly route. This year will also offer and Gravel and Grinder Mix with routes of 74 mile, 53 mile and 8 mile family friendly. This year, California Highway Patrol will again host a Bicycle Rodeo event on both days for the children to learn bicycle safety.

Shasta Gravity Adventures Grand Opening
Shasta Gravity is a mountain bike business in Mount Shasta that provides shuttles, guided rides, skills clinics, and trail building support to the Far NorCal area. On May 25, they will be hosting their grand opening all day in Shastice Park with kid and adult skills clinics, a bike swap and free mountain biking shuttles.

Spring Fling Car Show
