A gripping new film by director and writer Austin Smagalski, dubbed “To Die Alone,” is set to captivate audiences with its harrowing tale of survival filmed right in Northern California’s scenic Shasta-Trinity National Forest.
The intense drama follows Irving, a reserved solo hiker, and Ford, a charismatic EMT, as they trek the iconic Pacific Crest Trail. Their journey takes a dramatic turn when Irving sustains a catastrophic injury while swimming in a secluded lake, plunging both into a fight for survival against harsh off-season conditions and looming infection.
