BREAKING: It’s Snowing at Shasta Lake!
The storm has arrived in Northern California and it’s bringing plenty of snow throughout the mountains of the region. The snow is also being seen at lower elevations, including dropping a layer of snow on Shasta Lake!
As of Saturday morning, cars are being screened for chains on Interstate 5 from Mount Shasta to Fawdale north of Redding, with snowy roadways causing dangerous driving conditions on the popular roadway over Shasta Lake.
A quick look at the CalTrans webcams show the lake covered in snow:
