Drive-In Movie Theater Reopens in Northern California
As people look for ways to safely entertain themselves during California’s Coronavirus outbreak, a drive-in movie theater has reopened to give people a safe way to get out of the house.
The Sacramento location of the West Wind Drive-In has reopened during the quarantine and is providing showtimes everyday for people who can remain in their cars. The theater was shut down following Gavin Newsom’s shelter-in-place mandate, but eventually reopened with strict guidelines as one of the rare non-essential businesses to stay open during this time.
The restrictions include:
- People must stay in their vehicles at all time except to visit the restroom
- One person in the restroom at a time, except an adult with a child
- Vehicles must be parked 10 feet apart
- Concessions are closed
- Customers who do not follow these rules will be asked to leave
When you visit Sacramento’s drive-in theater for a movie, be sure to bring your own food and drinks, and stay six feet apart from anyone else at the venue. Movie showings begin at 8 pm.
