Highly-Anticipated Film Starring Leonardo DiCaprio to Begin Filming in Northern California
Excitement is building in Northern California as one of Hollywood’s most accomplished director/actor duos is set to bring cinematic magic to the region.
Paul Thomas Anderson, known for his acclaimed works like “Boogie Nights” and “There Will Be Blood,” is gearing up for a new movie production in Eureka, California. He will be joined by Academy Award winning actor Leonardo DiCaprio to star in the film. There’s currently not much known about the film except its star-studded cast and filming location in Humboldt County.
Confirmed stars for this project, filming under the working title “BC Project,” include DiCaprio, Sean Penn, and Regina Hall. This powerhouse cast is helping the film significant buzz in Humboldt, along with the entire film industry.
Jordan Raup, editor of The Film Stage, recently revealed the upcoming shoot’s location in norCal, stating that it came from casting notices for extras in the project:

Anderson is coming off the success of Licorice Pizza, which earned three Oscar nominationss for Best Picture, and Best Screenplay and Best Director for PTA. Meanwhile, Dicaprio is enjoying the success of Killers of the Flower Moon, the three-hour epic from director Martin Scorsese.
While details about the film’s plot remain tightly under wraps, it’s scripted by Anderson himself and set in the present day. There are also rumors that the film’s budget that could reach as high as $100 million.
