VIDEO: Housecat Takes on Approaching Bobcat Outside Humboldt House

A lot of people would fear a bobcat if they saw it in the wild. But some housecats aren’t scared of anything.

Pat and Keith Neighbors, who live in Southern Humboldt County, caught a crazy exchange between a trespassing bobcat and their spirited cat on surveillance camera. In the video (above), the bobcat is seen approaching the cat before the cat sprints into action, swiping at the intruder. By the actions of the bobcat, it certainly looks as if it’s in search of a hefty meal.

Luckily for everyone, the bobcat was scared off and a skirmish didn’t commence. It’s a reminder that cats are a rare mix of wild animal and loving human companion.
