Kevin Costner’s New Docuseries Explores the Conservation Legacy of Yosemite National Park

Academy Award-winning actor and filmmaker Kevin Costner is bringing Yosemite National Park into the spotlight with his upcoming three-part docuseries, Yellowstone to Yosemite. The series, set to premiere on Fox Nation starting February 8, will explore the park’s deep historical and environmental significance.

Costner, known for Dances With Wolves and Field of Dreams, dives into the pivotal 1903 expedition that brought President Theodore Roosevelt and naturalist John Muir together—an event that helped launch the American conservation movement and laid the foundation for the National Park system.

As Costner journeys through Yosemite’s stunning landscapes, including El Capitan and Yosemite Falls, he reflects on the park’s Indigenous history, the arrival of settlers, and Muir’s relentless efforts to protect America’s wild spaces.

“Once in a while, you come across a story that truly changes the world for the good,” Costner said of the project.
