A military flyover conducted by Beale Air Force Base will take to the skies of Northern California this weekend to show support for local healthcare workers and first responders during the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as those staying at home to “flatten the curve” of the virus.

The Recce Town T-38s and 9th Reconnaissance Wing will be performing a formation flyover throughout NorCal on Saturday, May 9th between noon and 1 pm.

“The flyover is a show of support and a salute to Northern California healthcare workers, first responders, and other essential personnel on the front lines of the fight against COVID-19″, says Col Andy “Spoo” Clark, Commander of the 9th Reconnaissance Wing at Beale Air Force Base.  “It is our way of saying ‘thank you for your service and sacrifice’”.

The formation will flyover areas of Sacramento, Grass Valley, Yuba City, Oroville and Vacaville beginning at noon. Here is a full schedule and map provided by Beale AFB:

  • 12:10 p.m. Yuba City
  • 12:20 p.m. Roseville
  • 12:40 p.m. Vacaville
  • 12:55 p.m. Gridley/Oroville
