Missing Hikers Found Safe in Yosemite National Park
In a relieving turn of events, two hikers who went missing over the weekend in Yosemite National Park have been found safe. Miguel Delgado, 63, and Ana Rodarte, 40, were located by search teams on Monday afternoon.
The pair had set out from Bridalveil Creek Campground around 10 a.m. on Saturday, intending to hike towards Ostrander Lake. They planned to return within two hours but did not make it back, prompting concern and a search effort.
The National Park Service reported the hikers missing on Sunday evening. The Yosemite Search and Rescue team, along with CalOES and the California Highway Patrol, worked tirelessly to locate Delgado and Rodarte. Their efforts paid off when the hikers were found around 2 p.m. Monday.
Both Miguel Delgado and Ana Rodarte were reported to be in good condition and were soon to be reunited with their families.
