South Lake Tahoe’s Christmas Fire Engine Returns to Spread Holiday Cheer

One of South Lake Tahoe’s most cherished holiday traditions is back. South Lake Tahoe Fire Rescue has announced the return of its Christmas Fire Engine, a festive, candy-cane–tossing fire truck that will roll through neighborhoods all season long, bringing smiles to families across the city.

Residents can see the decorated engine up close during the Festival of Winter Lights on December 12 and 13, where it will be parked near the Rec Center for photos from 4–5 PM each evening.

As always, the department notes that weather or emergency responses may affect timing—but the crew will do everything possible to keep the holiday engine on schedule.
