Storm Totals: Multiple Feet of Snow Falls on the NorCal Mountains with More on the Way

The first of two storms passed through Northern California this week, dropping plenty of snow and rain to replenish drought-stricken areas of the region. Let’s take a look at the storm totals as the next storm, expected to bring much more precipitation, enters the area.

Here are the new snow totals reported by ski resorts and other snow measurements tools throughout the area:

  • Sugar Bowl – 18 inches
  • Boreal – 17 inches
  • Palisades Tahoe – 21 inches
  • Homewood – 21 inches
  • Tahoe Donner – 20 inches
  • Northstar – 18 inches
  • Mt. Rose – 19 inches
  • Diamond Peak – 14 inches
  • Heavenly – 15 inches
  • Sierra-at-Tahoe – 25 inches
  • Kirkwood – 20 inches
  • Bear Valley – 24 inches
  • Dodge Ridge – 24 inches
  • Mammoth Mountain – 24 inches
  • China Peak – 20 inches
  • Snow Labs – 14 inches
  • Mount Shasta at Bunny Flats – 16 inches
  • Lower Lassen Peak – 20 inches

That’s one heck of a start to December! Not only does the next storm start today, but we’re expecting to see another storm system move into the area by late next week.
