Tahoe Ski Resorts Close Due to Extreme Snowfall. Here’s What’s Open.

The larges series of storms forecast for Tahoe this week has delivered with heavy snowfall and rain throughout the region. Travel has been nearly impossible in high elevation areas and many locals are buried inside their homes. With intense winds and heavy snow, many ski resorts are delaying their openings today, if not closing completely.
Before we tell you which ski resorts are closed and which are open, it’s really important to take into account the road closures in the region. As of Sunday morning, Highways 50, 80, 49 and 88 all remain closed with extreme snowfall. Many smaller roads are also closed or extremely dangerous. It’s best to stay home today.
That being said, here’s which ski resorts are open today. This update is from 8 am Sunday morning:

Mother Nature really over-delivered on a White Christmas! The storm she brought came with very deep snow and strong winds, making current conditions extreme. As such, we are on a DELAYED OPENING schedule this morning, with the goal of getting lifts spinning by mid-morning.
