Teen Identified in Fatal Jet Skiing Accident on Shasta Lake

Tragedy struck Shasta Lake over the weekend when a 19-year-old died following a jet ski collision. Now, officials have identified the victim as Dominic Marshall Lencioni from Arroyo Grande.

The accident occurred on Saturday afternoon in the Shannon Cove area, near Sacramento Point. According to the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office, Lencioni and another teen were struck by a 21-year-old riding a jet ski.

Deputies responded to the call at Bridge Bay Marina, where they found Lencioni with serious injuries to his face and chin and the other teen suffering from a knee injury. The 21-year-old operator of the other jet ski did not require medical attention.

Despite efforts by emergency responders, Lencioni became unresponsive upon arrival at Bridge Bay Marina and was transported to Mercy Medical Center in Redding, where he was later pronounced dead.

The Shasta County Coroner’s Office confirmed Lencioni’s identity, and the crash remains under investigation as authorities seek to understand the circumstances that led to this devastating accident.
