This Sacramento Taqueria Made Yelp’s Top 100 Tacos in America List

Yelp has unveiled its list of the Top 100 Taco Spots in the United States and Sacramento boasts one of the finest taquerias in the nation.

Taqueria La Perla Tapatia, nestled in Arden Arcade, secured the impressive No. 29 spot on this esteemed list. This Mexican gem opened its doors in August 2021, offering authentic flavors that have swiftly gained a devoted following.

To compile these rankings, Yelp’s data science team analyzed cities with the highest volume of “taco” searches from August 2022 to August 2023. Each city featured on the list had to have garnered over 5 million searches.

“Known for its authentic Mexican flavors and a commitment to quality, Taqueria La Perla Tapatia has become a beloved destination for taco lovers,” read Yelp’s article celebrating Taqueria La Perla Tapatia.

The taqueria’s menu boasts an array of offerings, including breakfast plates, burritos, tortas, and, of course, tacos. Diners can savor traditional street tacos with corn tortillas, crispy tacos, or quesabirria tacos. With approximately 263 user-generated reviews on its Yelp page, Taqueria La Perla Tapatia boasts an impressive 4.7-star rating.

Several other exceptional California taco spots also clinched top spots on the list, including Birrieria Little Tijuana in Riverside at No. 2, Frogtowns Gourmet Tacos in Los Angeles at No. 5, and Street Tacos and Grill, also in Los Angeles, ranking at No. 11.
