UPDATE: Northbound I-5 Closed to All Traffic 10 Miles North of Redding
We recently reported that northbound traffic had been closed on Interstate 5 in Dunsmuir due to spinouts and now CalTrans has taken that a step further. All northbound traffic is now closed 10 miles north of Redding due to spinouts from the massive snowstorm in NorCal:

With the storm just hitting the area, it seems this could be a common occurrence throughout NorCal until the storm dies down on Thanksgiving. Here are some of the scenes from that stretch of freeway north of Redding:

It’s recommended to just avoid any travel in the area until after Thanksgiving. Stay safe out there.
