VIDEO: Driving Through Lassen Volcanic National Park During the Dixie Fire

As the Dixie Fire burns through the southern areas of Lassen Volcanic National Park, locals are desperate for any information as to what has burned and what has survived the fire. According to heat maps, the fire burned through the areas of Bumpass Hell, Kings Creek Falls and Mount Harkness. Now, a video can help us see what the fire looks like inside the park.

A video was posted to YouTube on August 19 showing a drive through the park during the Dixie Fire. Nothing is known about when the video was taken, but it’s an interesting glimpse inside the park during its worst catastrophe since the Lassen Peak Eruption.
