Video Shows Plane Crashing into Humboldt’s Shelter Cove

On July 8, an aircraft crashed into the water of Shelter Cove in Humboldt County, approximately 200 yards from the beach. Both the pilot and passenger survived the wreck, and a video being shared online shows the terrifying moment it happened.

The video was shared to TikTok by @lost_coast_livin85 and showed the plane descending into the cove and splashing into the water:

The terrifying incident was a great moment for search and rescue officials as they raced to save the occupants of the plane. One occupant swam to the shore and the second occupant was recovered from the water by fire personnel. Both occupants were airlifted to a local hospital for medical treatment.
