Watch: Kayaker Reaches 36 MPH on 100-Foot Yosemite Waterslide

The Tenaya Creek waterslide is a little known feature in Yosemite National Park. The 100-foot waterslide is located at upper Tenaya valley about 2 miles from the Tioga Pass road, and with a smooth rock face and growth of algae on the rock, it creates quite an intense natural slide.

Professional kayaker Dane Jackson found the hidden gem and performed an extremely dangerous stunt on it.

Officials strongly suggest against going down the waterslide due to the high speeds reached in the steep areas, but Jackson wanted the challenge. With a speedometer at the top right of the video, you can see how he reached 36 miles per hour at one point in the ride.
