You Can Own a Piece of Paradise at this Outdoor Utopia in Far Northern California

Nestled along the northern border of California is a unique and family-friendly recreation opportunity – R-Ranch P.O.A. For over 50 years, R-Ranch has provided a safe and enjoyable place for families to spend quality time together. From camping under the stars to fishing in pristine waters, people travel from near and far to experience this remote part of Siskiyou County.

R-Ranch Hornbrook offers a variety of recreational opportunities for families, including stables, horses, fishing ponds, lodges, a shooting facility, swimming pool, off-road trails, riverfront access to the Klamath River, and two separate campgrounds with several first-come-first-serve sites.

In 1971, the founder of the R-Ranch, Jeff Dennis, had a vision to provide families with a facility that would appeal to all ages. He imagined a ranch with a variety of recreational activities that families could return to year after year and for generations to come. In a short period of time, he purchased several smaller ranches and parcels of land and combined them into a 5,100-acre ranch. Since the R-Ranch’s establishment, other locations were opened following Jeff’s model.

The R-Ranch is situated near the infamous Black Bart and numerous gold miners’ territory in the past, and Scenic Mount Shasta looms on the horizon, with the gorgeous Siskiyou mountains rising up just north of the Ranch. The Ranch is open year-round for owners to enjoy a range of activities.

In winter, owners stay in the line-shacks or rental homes and enjoy the fireplace in the lodge after a day on the slopes of Mt. Ashland or Mt. Shasta. Spring is a great time for owners to fish in the ponds, ride horses on the miles of dedicated equestrian trails, and camp in the RV sites. During the summer, the Ranch is full of activities, such as rafting the Klamath river, horse camps, dances, shooting contests, swimming pool parties, gymkhanas, and tent camping right on the bank of the Klamath River. In the fall, owners come to the Ranch to enjoy the hunting and fishing opportunities available on and nearby the Ranch property, and to ride their off-road vehicles on thousands of acres of trails.

While R-Ranch of the Siskiyous is exclusively available to owners and their sponsored guests, becoming an owner is easier than you might think. In honor of over 50 years in operation, the R-Ranch is currently offering a 50/50 share sale. Owners can buy a deeded share that is 1/2500th undivided interest in R-Ranch and then contribute an annual assessment to cover the costs of running the Ranch. With the current sale, a would-be owner can buy a share for only $1883, which covers the entire assessment for 2023. This offer is only available until March 31st, 2023, so if you are interested in becoming an owner at R-Ranch POA, visit www.r-ranchca.com or attend the Open House on Saturday, April 15th, from 10 am to 2 pm.
