Another Snowstorm Heading for Redding with Up to 2 Feet Forecast for Shasta Lake

A beautiful snowstorm blanketed Redding last Friday, leading to a snow day for the ages in the city known to rarely get snowfall. Now, another storm is heading into the region that could bring another round of snow for the second time in just four days.

The National Weather Service has released its snow forecast for the incoming storm and it includes another 4 inches of snow in Redding. The snow is expected to fall Monday evening into Tuesday morning.

Here’s the forecast from NWS:

The storm will also bring up to two feet of snow to Shasta Lake at Lakehead, which was blanketed with a beautiful layer of snow last Friday. The photos of the lake covered in snow are simply stunning:

The Redding snow will be fun, but it will pale in comparison to the Blizzard Warning issued for the nearby mountains, which could see up to 7 feet of snow through Wednesday. Mt. Shasta and Lassen Volcanic National Park will be the main recipients of the snow, with the rest of the Sierra getting slammed with multiple feet of snow as well.

This has been one wild ride of a winter so far! Let’s hope to see it continue through March.
